Practical part (making your own dress): a) the idea of \u200b\u200bcreating and choosing a product for manufacturing; b) choice of fabric; c) making a dress. 3. Conclusion.

Brief history of fashion, clothing styles. Who would have thought that the history of fashion began many years before our era. With the onset of the Stone Age, it became much colder in Europe, and decorations were replaced by warm skins. The paws of animals were used as straps, their backs were used as skirts. From 2900 BC fabrics appear, later the fabrics are already draped in a small fold, and one-piece suits for nomadic horsemen are sewn. In 2000 B.C. Nefertiti wore a robe called khaki - a royal, transparent veil. Her husband wears a loincloth - six. In 800 B.C. The Greeks wear something similar to two pieces of cloth, fastened together at the shoulders, tied with a belt. Their women at that time are wrapped in a piece of dense fabric, a similar attire is called peplos. Since 400, barbarian raids have been taking place on Europe, who are dressed mainly in pants called bras, helmets with horns and chain mail. At the same time, silk came to Byzantium from China, which changed the appearance suits. They were distinguished by special luxury, they were also decorated with jewels and pearls. And the women had a long veil covering their heads. Since 1100 caravans have been carrying furs. The crusaders are dressed in silk robes, turbans and delightful slippers. Already since 1350, the artists and poets of France and Italy had a goal - the search for beauty. It was then that fashion began to emerge in the form familiar to us. Then pointed women's hats, as well as various designs made of fabric, were a success.

Almost a century later, when France ends Hundred Years War, and the Renaissance begins in Italy, silk is spun in Tuscany, and unusual clothes are created for the holidays. Women at that time wear an upelyand with a train, while men wrap the top of their caps with a scarf, and stockings-pants are painted in such a way that I make my legs “rainbow”. At the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th centuries, false hair for women came into fashion. Entire structures were built on the head: flowers, favorite animals, fruits, dolls, ships. They reflected the taste of those who wore them. At the same time, women's dresses look like a corset from above, while a fluffy skirt is located below. And already in 1853, Levi Strauss created the first jeans. Since the beginning of the 19th century, new transport has required new clothing. The women's skirt fits snugly around the waist and flares out at the bottom, allowing them to move freely on the tricycle. In the 60s, there is a fashion for fragile girls, the most popular model of Twiggy. And since the 90s, there has been a unisex fashion, and fashion designers have been working all over the world, the first Victorias Secret shows, as well as fashion for jewelry, gold. Fashion is constantly evolving. Who among us does not want to be fashionable and stylish? To do this, it is not necessary to blindly follow fashion trends, which replace one another with lightning speed. It is quite enough to find your own style of clothing that will be in harmony with your image.

Fashion and style in clothes. It is very important to distinguish between the concepts of style and fashion. Style distinguishing feature, the individuality of a person, manifested in the choice of clothing, makeup, behavior. Fashion is just a direction that designers offer to society. Fashion is fleeting and changeable. Style, if chosen correctly, remains with a person forever and ultimately affects both a person’s life and his behavior, as well as manners and attitude. What is style? The simplest definition of style sounds like the ability to choose among fashion items (clothes, accessories, jewelry) those that in a certain way correspond to your figure, appearance, lifestyle, habits and interests. Style is, first of all, the correspondence of clothes, shoes and accessories to each other, the season, the venue of this or that event or the event you are at, your mood, your appearance and character. Each person can have their own style, which is not easy to find.

The most famous fashion designers. 1. Betsy Johnson 2. Tom Ford 3. Donatella Versace 4. Ralph Lauren 5. Marc Jacobs 6. Valentino Clemente Lodovico Giaravani 7. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana 8. Lee Alexander McQueen 9. John Galliano 10. Stella McCartney

The idea of creating and choosing a product for manufacturing. The idea of creating my own clothes came to me in the third grade, when the girls and I were sewing aprons at the Technology lessons. At that moment I thought - why not sew something interesting, beautiful and, besides, it can be worn ... First I drew various dresses, skirts, blouses, then I started sewing outfits for my dolls. There were many attempts to create different clothes for myself, and it actually worked out quite well. In my work, I want to describe the process of making a five-minute summer dress, which is very easy to make at home, without cutting and sewing skills, with low material costs, and this dress can be worn and be fashionable and stylish.

Choice of fabric. The most important thing in choosing a fabric for this dress is that the fabric is not only bright in color, but also its texture, which should be close to silk. Synthetic fabrics with such a structure are also suitable. Another important point- the fabric should not be transparent. I chose from three types of fabrics, the choice fell on fabric number 3.

Dress making. 1. We take a piece of fabric about 1 meter 40 cm per 1 meter 2. bend upper part about 6-7 cm 3. stitch evenly on sewing machine the seam. 4. Insert an elastic band into the resulting bend (preferably wide, 2.5 cm). 5. We stretch the elastic along the entire length of the dress and tighten it to fit. If there are folds on the fabric, it's okay, this is such a style. 6. In the area of \u200b\u200bthe gum, we fix the dress with threads. 7. We fold the front side of the fabric, turn it inside out and sew it from the wrong side. 8. Excess fabric can be cut off. All! The dress is ready! You can use a belt to accentuate your waist. Bright sandals with a small heel, jewelry and a clutch bag will also be appropriate. But that is not all! If you lower this dress to the waist, it turns into a beautiful stylish skirt. It remains only to pick up a blouse and another outfit is ready. Dress making. 1. Conclusion. In my work, I have tried to describe a brief history fashion, talk about the most famous fashion designers, reflect on what fashion and style are, talk about interesting facts from fashion life. But the most important thing is the practical part of the work, in which I tried to describe as briefly and easily as possible the process of making her own dress, which every girl can make and which can be worn and be stylish and individual, because no one else has such a dress.

There are many directions for design. Design is a creative process of creating a thing, in which aesthetics determines the content (essence), and technology determines the shape of a thing. Design is an inextricable interdependent relationship between aesthetics and technology, in which aesthetics sets the content (essence) of a thing or process, and the technology of their forms.

slide 2

The main categories of the design object An image is an ideal representation of an object, an artistic-figurative model created by the designer's imagination. Function - the work that the product must perform, as well as the semantic, symbolic and value roles of the thing. Morphology - the structure, the structure of the product form, organized in accordance with its function, material and method of manufacture, embodying the designer's intent. Technological form - the morphology embodied in the method industrial production things-object of design as a result of artistic comprehension of technology. Costume design is the art of designing clothing as a utility item and artwork at the same time. This is an irreplaceable attribute that people have been using since primitive times. With the development of society, clothing has become necessary not only for comfort. But also for aesthetic beauty. No wonder there is a well-known saying “Meet by clothes ..”

slide 4

The so-called fashion industry, which has passed many centuries, exists to this day. And it still has a great demand among consumers, i.e. us. One way or another, even if you are not chasing fashion, you always need clothes. Costume design this is not only a household need, but also an art embodied in clothes.

slide 5

To create a truly successful costume design, you need to know the laws of composition and master the skills of graphic execution. The object of clothing design is naturally the person himself (but not in rare cases, animals: dogs, cats.)

slide 6

Costume history. The history of the costume from ancient times to the present is the mirror that reflects the entire history of mankind, the history of countries and peoples that, in various periods of the formation of society, showed specific features and characteristics of their being in clothing. The costume is directly related not only to needlework and artistic creativity but also with ethnography and human physiology. The study of the history of costume and fashion gives people the key to knowing the customs, rituals and mores of both existing peoples and civilizations of bygone eras. By the shape and color of the clothes of representatives of different eras and peoples, by the fabrics and ornaments, you can find out the degree of their artistic and industrial development; changes in cut, in color combinations, the influence of the costume of one people on the clothes of another - all this makes it possible to recognize the path of development or decline of civilizations; religion, philosophies, art influence the appearance of people, and the costume always, to a fairly certain extent, you can create an idea of the culture of society and its social structure in different eras and historical periods. In a word, the costume involuntarily reflects almost all the diversity of the spiritual and mental life of every nation in a certain period of its development.

A fashion designer (in the Russian tradition) is a specialist in the manufacture of clothing models, a clothing designer, a creator of experimental samples, who determines the image and style, a general design solution, invents new technological solutions and develops decor, chooses colors and materials, thinks through accessories and additions. Modeling participants compete in the modern Youth Delphic Games of Russia.

The fashion designer develops new models of clothes, shoes, hats, haberdashery, prepares the necessary methodological and illustrative materials, supervises the manufacture of products in mass production, on certain types products creates a basic design of the model with recommendations for the development of a series of models based on them, participates in reviews and exhibitions of models. Using the ideas of designers or couturiers at fashion shows, he creates fashionable clothes for industrial or individual production. A fashion cutter is, first of all, a tailor, an engineer who thoroughly knows the whole process of making clothes, modeling and design methods. His task is to make the thing fit perfectly on the figure, be as functional and comfortable as possible when moving.

A fashion designer is an inventor. He invents, proposes details of the model of clothing, accessories and artistic additions that were not there before, and adapts them to everyday use. The ability to make a sketch that embodies the flight of fancy to the maximum, conveying the richness of fabrics, an unexpected silhouette or features of details is the basis of his work. When creating an original image or developing a style, the designer uses his own developments or those proposed by the couturier at fashion shows. The main thing is the author's idea. These professions are closely intertwined. The designer must know all the ways of processing fabrics and tailoring technology, and the designer must know how to bring the designer's ideas to life. And they all strive to make a person's life more beautiful with the help of clothes.

A fashion designer is a profession in demand, as many people want to create their own image or change it, develop a style using the services of a professional. Personnel agencies of the city and the region invite to work, mainly seamstresses. The work of a fashion designer-cutter or fashion designer can be found directly at the sewing enterprise, offering your portfolio - a collection of sketches and photographs of work. If funds allow, you can open your own atelier or Fashion House, where you can embody your creative ideas and not depend on anyone. It is also possible to work as a stylist or designer-consultant in a clothing and fabrics salon.

If you didn’t manage to get a job as a fashion designer, you can master a related specialty, such as interior design, or take up computer graphics. in great demand now enjoy life-size puppets for advertising campaigns various firms, carnivals and shows. This can also become one of the areas of application of the fashion designer's talents. But a real woman should be her own fashion designer. Therefore, it seems to me that this profession is relevant for any woman.

The presence of aesthetic taste developed imagination skills: sketch clothes (including on a computer) build a pattern, cut fabric sew, embroider, knit, weave knowledge: types of fabrics and their characteristics formulas for building patterns color combinations and features of their perception by a person visual perception geometric shapes fashion history technology for the production of fabrics and tailoring

In order to become a fashion designer, you need not only desire and talent, it is also desirable to be able to draw and understand that learning to design is a very difficult process, and you will also need to be able to sew, and understand fabrics and much more. However, if you don’t know how to draw, don’t despair, you can follow the corresponding courses, because you don’t need to become a great artist, you just need to be able to make sketches, sketches, and learning to draw with perseverance and desire is quite possible. So, you know how to draw, how to hold a needle and thread in your hands, guess what's next, where to go?

In Russia, fashion design is taught in colleges, higher educational institutions and in courses. In principle, design, or rather the ability to sew, can be learned in courses. But it is better to choose courses not for one and a half or two months, but longer ones, because there are courses designed for a year, or even two. In any case, they will teach you how to sew and cut. But a more complete education, nevertheless, is better to receive in the appropriate educational institutions.

1. First, the fashion designer comes up with an image of the model. On this stage the flight of the master's imagination is not limited by anything. However, the new model must match the theme of the collection, the season, current trends fashion. Be creative, innovative, but at the same time practical and harmonious. 2. Then a sketch of the model is born on paper or on a computer screen. The fashion designer must know that the final result largely depends on how he embodies his image in the drawing. The sketch of the model should be made in a favorable perspective, accurately and clearly display the proportions and colors. The talent of the artist will help to show in the sketch the texture of the fabric, the features of the drapery, to convey the mood of the model.

3. Building a pattern is the most difficult and crucial stage. Much depends on how correctly the calculations are made and the details are drawn. The right cut is able to emphasize the dignity of the figure and hide its flaws. Proper cutting will help save fabric. At this stage, mathematics, drawing and geometry come to the aid of the fashion designer. And a modern, advanced fashion designer cannot do without knowledge of computer programs. Who said that the exact sciences are alien to the artist?! 4. And then it is sewn from individual parts ready product. Of course, you can hire a seamstress, but a self-respecting fashion designer sews his products with his own hands! (At least until they went into mass production). Oh, how many difficulties along the way! Sweep, try on, rip, sweep again ... stitch, trim, steam, iron, try on. 5. And finally, the most exciting moment - the show!

1900s 1900s Tricycles and the advent of automobiles require new clothing to cover and protect. Male pedestrians wear top hats and long coats with fur-lined pelises. The ladies refused the bustle. The skirt hugs the waist and flares out at the bottom. The top of the dress ends with a high collar, puffed sleeves. The hats are getting huge. For the first time, Revillon offers a fur coat. The fur is no longer used as a lining, but stands on its own. Paul Poiret makes a real revolution by abolishing the corset. He forced to recognize the dress of lively and energetic colors, which emphasizes the figure with a ribbon passing under the chest. The weight of the ladies' attire has decreased from 3 kilograms to 900 grams. Fashion designer Paul Poiret opens his own fashion house. On January 21, 1905, designer Christian Dior was born. 1911 fashion designer Paul Poiret released the first designer perfume "Rosina" after the name of his eldest daughter, and also opened the studio "Martina" in Paris after the name of his youngest daughter. Soldiers who returned from the First World War do not recognize their own girls: they wear short hair “under Garson”, the hero of a fashionable novel at that time. Charleston and tango dance everywhere. Skirts are getting shorter and shorter. The garter belt replaced the corset. For men, an evening jacket, which in France is called a tuxedo, is suitable to replace the jacket and striped trousers. Coco Chanel showed her little black dress for the first time. It did not produce much effect against the backdrop of the then fashionable bright colors and waited for recognition until the 1930s.

1930s External Video Files 1930s Fashion in the USA The effects of the Wall Street crash of 1929 did not take effect immediately, but only after some time. Great Depression, global economic crisis, covering all spheres of production and sectors of the economy, ended only at the end of the 30s. The fashion came for soft, flowing, very feminine clothes with a "prudent" length. Most people, no matter how poor they were, wanted to look decent. Women managed to get by during the depression years. Those who could not buy a new dress simply lengthened the old one, because short skirts were no longer worn even during the day. The dress of the ladies reached about the middle of the calves, and everything that was shorter was skillfully lengthened to the desired length with the help of ribbons, frills, wedges. If during the day the length of the skirts reached the middle of the calves, then in the evening they basically wore a long one with a large neckline on the back. The classic attributes of femininity that seemed to have sunk into oblivion reappeared: flounces, bows, ruffles, draperies. The dress is formed on the classic silhouette of the female torso: waist, hips, chest. If it was one-piece, it was intercepted at the waist by a narrow belt. The silhouette was slender and natural, the fabric fell gently. A slight asymmetry is very relevant in the composition of the costume. Fabrics in Art Deco style with unobtrusive geometric patterns or plain dyed. Accessories were a must in a 30s suit, for many they were the only available opportunity to bring the wardrobe in line with the new requirements. Narrow envelope bags without a handle were popular, or a small bag-purse with a silver frame latch, or the latest innovation! from plastic. Very few expensive accessories. As for fashionable jewelry, a funny combination of precious stones with artificial ones was universally allowed. Hair, unlike the 20s, grew and carefully styled. Preference was given to blondes. The appropriate complexion was distinguished by that transparent impeccability, which so admired the stars of the movie screen. It seemed to be quite simple to correspond to the ideal of beauty of this time: a woman should be slender, but not boyish, but feminine, in addition, she should be athletic, tanned, laid-back and well-groomed. She learned that true beauty comes from within, and so she valued healthy eating, fresh air, and exercise.

1940s 1941 war, difficult years. Shoes are made with wooden soles, skirts have become shorter. It takes a lot of effort for girls to be fashionable, but for dudes, everything is simple: a hat on the back of the head, a large saggy jacket and skinny trousers, as yet unknown couturier Christian Dior, makes a revolution: now the lines will be elongated and expanded. Narrow waist and accentuated hips are in fashion. Incredible success. All women should elongate their dresses and coats with flounces or stripes of fur, because haute couture "haute couture" dictates so. These are golden times for Balmain, Fata, Balenciaga. Mademoiselle Chanel presents her famous costume, which will be copied and worn by all subsequent generations of women. The fashion includes a semi-coat with a fastened hood, former military clothing.

1950s Trousers are a serious conquest for women who have the right to wear them on all occasions without causing reproach. However, it is strange: dressing like men is not allowed for women involved in skiing and cycling. Freedom of choice has come into fashion: hairstyles with curled chignons or short haircuts, rustling multi-layered fru-frou petticoats or silvery “space suits”. Ballet shoes also came into fashion. Fashion for a fragile type of woman. At the peak of popularity, the Twiggy model and mini. In the USSR in the 1960s, self-made knitted earmuffs were popular e Since canvas returned to us from America in the form of jeans, jackets and overalls, both sexes have a habit of wearing clothes of the same style, exchanging T-shirts and baseball caps. Since women today have borrowed men's shirts and jackets, men no longer have to be Scottish to wear a skirt. There has never been such a mutual influence and such a wide choice.

1980s In the West, punk continues to have its influence, but a pragmatic yuppie style also appears. Leggings are in vogue. Blonde curls, crew cut hair, green or black mohawks, jackets or oversized coats, miniskirts or maxi dresses, shoes of all colors, flats or heels, retro or tomorrow… You can wear everything. Everything except what was worn last year and in 1984, Jane Birkin's seat on a plane from Paris to London was next to the seat of Hermès chairman Jean-Louis Dumas. In a conversation, Birkin complained to Dumas about her difficulties in choosing a large leather bag for walking on the weekend and described her dream to him. Soon the dream bag was delivered to Birkin's house. This is how the famous Birkin bag appeared. Japanese, Dutch, Italians, Americans, British and especially French fashion designers everywhere. Fashion for unisex style, for minimalism, for "ecological style" s Secret

2000s 2000 Fashion for rhinestones, diamonds, gold, patent leather kind of swarming style Target for the first time in the history of fashion held a vertical fashion show. The event took place on the wall of the Rockefeller Center in New York. The wall was used as a podium, and athletes and gymnasts acted as models. A documentary about Valentino was presented at the Venice Film Festival. The film crew pursued the designer almost to the day for two years. The Russian magazine Vogue celebrated its 10th anniversary, in honor of which an album of photos "Best of Vogue" appeared in Russian stores in August. The global economic crisis of 2008 hit the fashion industry hard. falling demand for designer and luxury items.

I chose the profession of fashion designer for myself, because I am interested in how clothes are created from a simple drawing that can be used in life, how a masterpiece is recreated. Therefore, I follow fashion, changes in fashion, new trends and, of course, events in the fashion world. Therefore, I simply could not miss the recent fashion week in Moscow. There I got to know this special world of the profession a little closer and it captured me even more, now I have decided exactly on the choice of profession, I will be a fashion designer.
