Applications use the components of the core of the BI system to organize safe, fast and reliable access for end users to the accumulated array of information through the standard interfaces of the system. The history of the development of the business intelligence system of the Auchan company has 10 years and includes several periods

It is important to note that the development of the BI system in the initial periods of 2006-2012 was largely determined by the balance of opportunities for purchasing licensed technologies and requirements for integrating systems and users. Thus, before the conclusion of the agreement on the unlimited use of BI Oracle technologies in 2012, Auchan relied heavily on applications and modules created by our company in order to reduce the cost of system ownership. Data loading and transformation subsystems

This subsystem is a complex environment consisting of modules serving to perform data processing tasks. The subsystem meets all modern requirements and allows for batch and online (online) data integration and transformation

The BI system is an open system, therefore it is possible to use any data transformation modules of any vendor in it. In order to reduce the cost and increase the reliability, transformation modules of only 4 types are currently used. Subsystem of modeling and indicator catalog

This subsystem is fairly new in the BI system. The subsystem solves the problem of building a federated catalog of indicators, as well as providing a standard API for Oracle reporting tools such as Oracle Visual Analyzer and Oracle Dashboards. The indicator catalog is available in the subsystem visually. The subsystem appeared recently due to the high cost of the license for this component. It was only thanks to the conclusion of the ULA agreement that it became possible to simulate the indicator catalogs in this system.

Extranet Application

The BI Extranet application was created specifically to provide secure access to data for Auchan's counterparties. Including banks, factors and suppliers use it in order to access analytics on mutual settlements. The application provides a counterparty's office, is available via the Internet and allows you to generate reports of any complexity both in batch and online. The capabilities of the visual interface of the Adobe Flex environment allow you to generate any visualization. The BI Cockpit application is a new application created after the merger of Auchan-Retail with the aim of analyzing data on the results of the consolidated company.
