Now let's move from theory to practice. To add a type to a product in VirtueMart, you will need to create it first.

To do this, you will need to select "Products" - "List" from the menu in the admin panel of this component of Jumla. On the page that opens, to create it, click on the "New" button located at the top of the window.

In the "Sort Order" field, you can determine their position relative to each other on the filtering page by characteristics. By default, the new parameter appears at the end of the list, but you can make changes in this field.

From the drop-down list of the “Parameter Type” field, you need to choose how it will work. The most commonly used option is the drop-down list. In this case, you will need to set all possible values \u200b\u200bfor it, which the store visitor can then select from the drop-down list on the advanced search page.
